Cycle to Fight Senior Hunger
Meet up with your neighbors at Shadow Cliffs Park in Pleasanton for the 7th Annual Wheels for Meals Ride on Saturday, October 17th.
This charitable ride benefits meal delivery and safety/wellness checks for our homebound senior neighbors. Tour the scenic Livermore Valley and then return to a celebration complete with entertainment, a delicious BBQ lunch (with vegetarian options) and family-friendly fun! Alameda County Meals on Wheels will keep everyone safe, on-course and well-cared for along the way on our four fully-supported routes:
- 15 miles – Great for beginners and families with kids.
- 35 miles – Popular with recreational riders looking for a distance challenge.
- 50 miles – Brand New Addition! This half-century is ideal for those who want a solid challenge, but who aren’t quite ready for the 70.
- 70 miles – New Scenery! New course that’s sure to be a fun end-of-season adventure for avid cyclists.

How Many Meals Will You Ride For?
Help us eliminate our current waiting list. $180,000 can nourish all 85 waiting seniors. To help get us there, we’re asking all adult riders to raise a minimum of $200 (25 meals). Our senior neighbors need us to provide warm, nutritious meals and safety/wellness checks now. They can’t wait. Will you ride for meals?
Registration closes at 11:59pm on Thursday, October 15th or when we reach 1000 riders – whichever comes first.
No on-site day-of-event registration permitted.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 510-777-9560.
WANT FREE REGISTRATION?
Once you surpass your requested $200 goal, you can opt to turn your registration fee into a tax-deductible donation toward your personal fundraising (helping you earn even better prizes) OR you can request to have the fee refunded—your choice!
If you opt-out of fundraising, we respectfully request that you make a tax-deductible donation to your own page. Note: Registration fee covers event production costs with very little remaining for meals for our seniors.
